CLASS DESCRIPTION, CLASS AGES AND REQUIRED ATTIRE

Music--private lessons for voice, piano and instruments. No required attire beyond the studio dress code on the registration form. Bring music materials, meet practice requirements.

Dance--Students should obtain the required class attire listed below, within 1-2 weeks of starting class, and it should be worn to each class thereafter. Hair pulled back. Students are encouraged to take good care of their attire, since attire may be used with other costume pieces for performances. Students learn faster when dressed appropriately for class. Class Attire sources:   Dance4Less.com, Discountdance.com, DesignsForDance.com, JCPenny.com (for ballroom)  Wal-mart dance section, Tri-City Academy of Ballet/Dance Boutique.)  If in doubt, check with instructor  prior to purchasing attire to make sure it meets requirements. Some items available new or used at the studio, see instructor . To purchase or sell used items, see studio bulletin board (studio does not warrant condition of used items, bulletin boards cleared the end of each semester.)  No rivets, belts with metal, or clothing with metal protrusions, to protect mats and students.

Creative Movers--Ages 3-6  Description:  Pre-school body advantage for guys and girls.  Be great in dance and sports...get moves, muscles, coordination, tumbling, and spin it all together with self-confidence and great kid fun! Grab the advantage, see why this beats other options for pre-schoolers. Attire:  Short sleeve black t-shirt or short sleeve black leotard, black pants (not jeans or sweats--see sites above), white sox or (or pink slippers, if desired.) Hair back. Possible rental.

Romp n' Stomp--Ages 6 months-3 years  Description:  Body exploration, rhythm, movement, tumbling for Mommy and baby/tot.  Researched techniques to enhance your baby's body and brain development through movement.  Attire:  Comfortable moveable clothing that complies with the studio registration dress code.  No rivets, belts, or metal protrusions, to protect mats and children. Clean sox or soft dance shoes/slippers. (Recommended that Moms remove most jewelry.)  

Pretty Pre-Ballet--Ages 3-6 Description:  Fundamentals for beginning ballet.  Be a princess while exploring dance movement, musical awareness, tumbling, self-confidence, fun!  Attire:  Short sleeve black leotard, black jazz pants, pink tights for performance, white sox or pink ballet shoes. Possible costume rental.

Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced Ballet—Ages 6-adult placement by instructor approval.  Description:  Classical ballet technique, knowledge of anatomy as relates to dance. Attire:  Black short sleeve leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers. Hair back. Possible costume rental.

Hurricane Hip Hop—Ages 6-11 Description:  Dance to HOT HIP HOP music with cool science/ed lyrics!  No sleeze man!  This stuff is great...we're moving to rocks, muscles, bones, water cycles, math facts, language facts….MOVE with us in dance and school while have'n fun! Attire:  Comfortable moveable clothing that complies with the studio registration dress code.  No rivets, belts, or metal protrusions, to protect mats and students. Clean sox or dance shoes.

AdvanceDance—Jr High/High School/Adult  Description:  Dance Technique character, jazz, dance team, and musical theater movement--centered in solid traditional ballet technique. Attire: Black short sleeve leotard, pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes/flexible jazz shoes, optional black dance pants, black dance skirt.  Possible costume rental. Hair back.

Pre-Musical Theater—Ages 3-5/6  Description: Exploration of creative movement. Learning actions to songs. Learning foundation for beginning dance.  Attire: Guys:  White T-shirt, black pants of stretch fabric, white sox. Girls:  Short sleeve black leotard, black jazz pants, white sox or pink ballet slippers, (pink tights for performance). Hair back. Possible costume rental.

Pre-Ballet--Ages 3-6  Description:  Exploration of movement, pre-ballet technique, names of bones and muscles.  Foundations for classical ballet.  Attire:  Short sleeve black leotard, black jazz pants, white sox or pink ballet slippers, (pink tights for performance). Hair back. Possible costume rental.

Ballroom Swing Thing—Jr High/High School/College  Description:  Ballroom/swing/Latin dance instruction.  Dance like the stars. Swing, waltz, cha cha…. No partner, don’t know how to dance?  No worries, just come. Attire: Comfortable moveable clothing that complies with the studio registration dress code.  No rivets, belts, or metal protrusions, to protect mats and students.  Sox or dance shoes.  Black character shoes preferred for girls. For some steps, removal of jewelry and watches may be required.

Dude & Dude-etts Ballroom Performance—Jr High/High School/College  Description: Elite Ballroom Performance Group. By audition/invitation only. No previous experience needed, desire required.  See instructor for details. Attire for class--same as ballroom class.  Attire for performance:  Guys supply own—Black tuxedo pants, white tuxedo shirt, black bow tie, black sox and black shoes; studio supplies--rental costume pieces such as hats, capes, bandannas, etc. Girls supply—black short sleeve leotard, black fish net nylons, black character shoes; studio supplies--costume rental dresses and costume pieces such as necklaces, gloves and boas. Costume Rental required.

Pre-School--3-5   Description:  Co-op Pre-school.  Ample facility, toys, supplies and materials provided.  Parent/adult must sign up to periodically assist story time, crafts, numbers/ shapes/ colors/ letters, or clean-up, etc.  Inexpensive, rich experience. To maximize learning, children may have "homework;" fun worksheets to complete at home. Attire:  Comfortable clothing children can move in that meets studio dress codes.  Also, no rivets, belts, or metal protrusions, to prevent student injury and equipment damage.

ExerciseDisguise--Adult/kids welcome. Description:  Quickest, safest way I've seen to shape up--any starting level. (I've taught all levels of fitness for decades, this really is the fastest, safest method I've seen to increase physical fitness.  It's versatile and amazing.)  Attire:  Comfortable, moveable clothing that meets studio registration dress codes.  Also, no rivets, belts, or metal protrusions, to prevent student injury and equipment damage.  May need ankle and hand weights as progress.
